These terms describe the use of Backbone Australia, operated by Mannwest. Please read them alongside our privacy policy, especially before submitting material.

Use the site lawfully and respectfully. Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access, interfere with security or availability, submit spam, impersonate another person, or manipulate polls. We may limit abusive use and remove material that breaches these terms.

The site publishes general information, commentary and opinion. Views belong to their authors and are not necessarily the views of Mannwest or every contributor. Check sources and obtain advice appropriate to your circumstances before relying on material. We welcome reports of factual errors at mannwest@mannkal.org.

Submit only material you have the right to share. Check factual claims, distinguish first-hand experience from opinion and do not include unlawful, defamatory, confidential or misleading material. By submitting a story for publication, you give Mannwest non-exclusive permission to review, edit for clarity, publish and display it on Backbone Australia, with the name or initials you supply. You retain ownership of your original material. We may contact you for clarification, decline publication or remove a story. Submission does not guarantee publication. Contact us if you wish to withdraw a story; third-party copies may remain outside our control.

Newsletter subscription is optional and can be cancelled through the unsubscribe link or by contacting us. Reader polls are indicative participation tools, not representative surveys. The Courage Scorecard is a self-reflection activity, not a professional assessment or certification. Do not submit repeated or automated votes.

Website branding, design and editorial material are protected by intellectual property rights held by Mannwest or their respective owners. Linking to public pages is welcome. Seek permission before republishing substantial content or using our branding in a way that suggests endorsement. These terms do not limit uses permitted by law.

Links and permitted embeds may take you to independently operated services, including related organisations. Those services have their own terms and privacy practices. Inclusion of a link does not guarantee its content or availability.
